Our story

A resort shaped by the water

Bullraibyn began with a simple question: what would a great resort look like if it grew out of its place rather than being dropped onto it?

The answer is a former nineteenth-century shipyard on the Nacka shoreline, just across the water from central Stockholm, carefully restored and extended into a village of brick halls, copper roofs and glass pavilions. The original engine house, rope walk, smithy and timber store have been given new lives as our lobby, promenade, brasserie and all-day restaurant, while new buildings continue their materials and proportions.

When we open on 4 June 2027, the village will include 312 rooms and suites, eight restaurants and bars, the 4,000 m² Källa Spa, the 1,200-seat Byn Theatre, the Salong Noir cabaret room and adult-only gaming salons. Everything has been designed to feel unhurried, personal and quietly confident.

Hospitality before spectacle

We would rather remember your name and how you take your coffee than impress you with marble. Our teams are trained to anticipate rather than react, and to give guests space when space is what they need.

Local, seasonal and honest

Our kitchens buy from fishers, farmers and foragers we know personally. Our buildings draw heat from the sea and water from the sky. We want the resort to feel like it belongs here, today and for the next century.

Entertainment with care

Theatre, music and gaming are part of what makes an evening here special. We approach the adult side of that programme responsibly, with strict age verification, clear limits and trained staff who put guest wellbeing first. You can read more on our responsible gambling page.

Open to everyone, considerate of everyone

The resort is designed to be step-free and accessible throughout, welcoming to families during the day and calm for couples and solo travellers in the evening, with clearly signposted adult-only areas.
